William has been studying guitar for 13 years and is a sophomore scholarship student at the University of Kentucky studying Music Education and Performance under Prof. Dieter Hennings, with his primary instrument being classical guitar. He is also very well versed in rock, jazz, pop, blues, metal and all alternative stylings. He has played both guitar and bass in a variety of musical groups including local blues, rock, and jazz bands. His accolades include being selected as one of two guitarists in the state for the Governor's School for the Arts program (2022), and being a selected member of the KMEA Allstate Guitar Orchestra (2019-20) and the KMEA Allstate Jazz Band (2021-22). He was also one of 12 classical guitarists in the nation chosen to attend the Interlochen Music Academy in the summer of 2021. Most recently, William traveled to Germany to attend the Koblenz International Guitar Festival where he received one on one instruction with some of the greatest modern classical guitarists. When not studying guitar you can hear William on the airwaves, DJ-ing a radio show for 88.1 FM WRFL Lexington!
